OPRA And AFGlobal At Offshore Technology Conference, Houston

Christopher Zahn, Sales Director OPRA, joined AFGlobal, OPRA’s partner for the Americas market, at the OTC, Offshore Technology Conference, in Houston, Texas from 6-9 May 2019. This marked another milestone in the partnership between OPRA and AFGlobal. While exhibiting at the show, OPRA’s 3D printed cross-section model of the OP16 Gas Turbine was on display.

The OTC is one of the largest and most relevant conferences for the Oil & Gas industry and is visited by more than 100’000 industry experts every year. Despite the name, Onshore technologies are also discussed and introduced at the show. The industry shows a trend towards electrically driven equipment, both offshore and onshore, creating an increasing need for decentralized, flexible and reliable power generation in the oil fields.

Together with AFGlobal, OPRA will address this demand by offering a US made package well suited for these applications. Driven by the OP16 Gas Turbine, this solution will utilize associated gas freely available as a by product of oil production.
